About Richard Moorfield

Richard is a registered Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience working with individuals across the lifespan. He has worked across private practice, education, public health, community and disability settings. He is a trainee Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with the Association for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy of WA (APPWA).

Richard primarily works from a psychoanalytic framework, offering a reliable and contained space to explore emotions, relationships, and recurring patterns in an effort to support insight and emotional change. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy can be of help to many people with problems in living, learning, working, and relating.

Richard is particularly interested in working with people in longer-term therapy, or with those who may have tried other therapeutic approaches without finding what they need.
